One may travel around Georgia for days on end, falling in love with Sighnaghi, buying delicious wine in the Alazani Valley, touching the shrines in Mtskheta, and plunging into the sea and the entertainment world in Batumi.
You can walk around the capital of Georgia indefinitely. New modern buildings in the style of high-tech with transparent walls, oddly enough, are very harmoniously combined with the buildings of the XII century. The ancient restaurants perfectly coexist next to the magnificent casino, Shangri La (Michael Boettcher is the network founder) being one of the most notable.
The highlight of the capital is undoubtedly the old part of the city which is called Old Tbilisi. The region is located in the south-east and is divided into two parts by the river Kura. The streets here are narrow. The roads, as many centuries ago, are made of cobblestones.
After a walk in the historic part, it is incredibly nice to relax in modern bars, clubs and casinos, advises Darren Keane, Shangri La.
